A crucial scene from the HBO mini-series, “John Adams.” This film should be watched by all Americans.

David,
I have a watched this series and loved it. The quest to gain freedom from the ever encroaching mother England is well illustrated as is the deep comittment to establish a unique government for the evolving nation. Of course, when I viewed it I was unaware of how God was left out of it, but not entirely…Thank the Lord.
The acting in the HBO mini series, John Adams, was superb, carefully crafted, as the rhetoric was choice and articulated with exacting precision by some of the most talented actors and actresses I have ever seen.
Moreover, two relationships were well characterized in the series, a unique and enduring friendship between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson - often solidified by constant written correspondence which the series powerfully illustrated as the lives of these two men drew to an end on the very same day. Despite their differences, these two men dearly loved their country. movie.
Furthermore, the other relaitionship, which was graciously depicted as one of human courage and a deep and abiding affection was between Abigail and John Adams. A vivid portrait of these two complex people and their enduring love for one another through long separation and expected hardhip is well illustrated with heart.
The series, John Adams, doesnt just reveal the harsh, intense, boisterous personality of the driven Adams, but viewers come to know his human side, his soft underbelly, and his deep love and devotion to his soul mate, Abigail. We learn that she had a clear mind and she was well focused; likewise she perservered. Abigail, no doubt, greatly respected her husbands intellect as he did hers. She also no doubt understood and valued her husband’s strong desire and firm commitment to serve his country. Clearly, they were made for each other as they complimented one another so perfectly, often the hallmark of a great marriage..
What I cannot believe is how something so decent came out of HBO. That is good. That is rare. But clearly the book upon which this series is based, John Adams, and its author, the highly acclaimed Pulitizer prize winning author, David McCullough, should be credited with how the series shed a positive light on America. I understand that McCullough was an advisor to the film and his impression of the series is aired in an accompanying interview to the DVD series
The book entitled, John Adams, likewise, is well worth reading as the language is rich and powerful. Here, you can walk back in time and get a lucid glimpse into the life of one of our often overlooked founding fathers. I also highly recommend the HBO series John Adams!
Wish where in ever did you dig up this so called DOI, now what on earth is this idea say what when where who and how!
