Patrick Henry: “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”
Patrick’s Henry’s world-famous speech delivered on March 23, 1775, ignited the American Revolution with his rallying cry for independence. He was the orator of the revolution. He was also one of America’s Founding Fathers. With his striking words, so dynamic and zealous, he urged the delegates to the Second Virginia Convention to take up arms for they had exhausted all conceivable and available peaceful means of protest .
Removed from the House of Burgesses by the Governor, the Founding Fathers gathered in defiance of royal orders to disband to discuss the notion of independence as a nation. In the sanctuary of St. John’s Espiscopal Church, in Henrico Parrish, at Richmond, Virginia; it is here where they heard Patrick Henry’s most historic and electrifying speech.
A plaque on the church’s wall bears the inscription, “by his immortal eloquence he inspired in his countrymen the clear vision of truth and duty and roused them to consecrate themselves to the defense of liberty.”
Dont you think that Patrick Henry stirred the deepest emotions in the hearts of those fortunate individuals who were blessed to hear his speech? His message certainly would have had a profound impact on me then as it does still today, especially when he said :
“Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned - we have remonstrated - we have supplicated - we have prostrated ourselves before the thrown and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrations have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the thrown. In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope. If we wish to be free…we must fight! I repeat it, Sir, we must fight! An appeal of arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left to us!…Three millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty..are invincible by any force whcih our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations; and He will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not the strong alone; it is the vigilant, the active, the brave….There is no retreat but in submission and slavery!”
“…Gentleman may cry, ‘Peace! peace! - but there is no peace..Is life so dear, and peace so sweet,as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”

It was with a full sweeping and deep devotion, an implict trust, and an unquestionable faith in Almighty God and His Devine purpose in our nation’s freedoms and ideals, that the American Revolution commenced — with “God raising up friends to fight our battles for us…” Likewise, Patrick Henry revealed his reliance upon Almighty God when he stated two more ideas: “armed in the Holy cause for Liberty…we shall not fight our battles alone, and also when he said “there is a God who presides over the destinies of nations,” and…
Morever, Patrick Henry’s Scripture verse for America was derived from Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness alone can exalt a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

The above scripture, in essence, summarizes quite brilliantly Patrick Henry’s beliefs that Americans must be willing to stand for righteousness, that is, to do what is right, what is noble, despite whatever the cost.
That’s what true leadership is all about. A dear friend, and one of our most noble American patriots and a decorated combat Vietnam War veteran, Morgan Ward, has taught me this…
Today, we as a nation have been silenced, we have been ignored by way of censorship and petititon. We are blinded by our indifference and apathy. Many ignorant people have bowed to a false Messiah, others look to hope from a far reaching overly centralized massive governing body, the tentacles of which, are reaching out to interfer with our lives and all our personal and treasured freedoms.
Our call to action will be in vain, if we dont pick leaders who are Christians, who are righteous, who entrust God’s moral compass and his ever lasting hopes and dreams for this nation. Our Constitution is being trampled on and our other unique document , the Declaration of Independence, which contains the blueprint for a means to rise up and take our nation back - must be preserved and we must honor it and live up to its intentions now or we wont rest in peace! As Patrrick Henry stated most emphatifally, ..”If we wish to be free ..we must fight!”
Let us pray continually to our Heavenly Father especially today to raise up in America - righteous, dignified, and brave leaders who are patriots like Patrick Henry, who will make a valiant effort to return our United States of America back to her Christian nation full of virtue and direction.
And in conclusion, John Adams, in 1818, was quite correct when he stated: “The Revolution was affected before the war commenced. The revolution was in the minds and heart of the people.” May his words live inside us and may we bring them to life! for it is time to Fight!

I still can’t believe that many so called Patriots have not got the message that our Country is doomed without immediate courage and action by ALL TRUE patriots.You are correct in your assertions that We The People have been silenced and have no other course of Redress. I understand that our educational system has “dumbed down” the average citizen to a comprehension on par with a 3rd grade education.
In any event, Anyone with the least rudimentary skills would be far fetched in not understanding that our Executive branch of Government has been USURPED by a foreign Born Marxist, Socialist, American Hating Fraud with his 75 non-constitutional czars.
The judicial Branch is a Tyrannical body as well as We The People have been shown over and over that we do not have any redress in our grievences to Government. This Country belongs to “We The People,” not They The Government as so many citizens including many so called Patriots believe. The courts tend to try and insult us by thinking we must PROVE our case before the courts will accept our cases. The court is a body which are suppose to be arbitraitors of percieved wrong. There are volumes of reasonable doubt that this USURPER isn’t qualified to be POTUS but these tyrannical Courts will NEVER hear any of the cases.For you suffering from 3rd grade level comprehension, I will try to put that it in laymen terms to you. That is because the Courts have become tyranist to our nation! Then you have the Attorney General of the US Eric Holder who himself should be in Prison for crimes commited by himself prior to his appointment. Anyone who doesn’t understand that he is running interference with the other haters of freedom are a french fry short of a happy meal.
Then we have the legislative branch of Government which have been Tyrannist as well. Think for the moment of the millions of letter we American Patriots have sent identifying this fraud of a USURPER to them. They have ridiculed us and have proved they do not care to live up to their sworn oaths of office.They continue to pass legislation without reading the bills or even worry whether the bills are within their constitutional authority.THey have put Generations of Americans in debt that they will never be able to repay and therefore the future Generations will be nothing more than slaves to their Government.
The Press has silenced all dissent by Patriots. They will not report anything that is not allowed by this Tyrannical Government. Folks, contrary to your nonsenical belief, this isn’t due to someone threatening or silencing them in any way. This is because of their A Moral attitudes and haviing completely sold their morals and Nationality to their Greed and anti Americanism. Yes this includes your beloved FOX News as well.
Then there were 1,500,000. million more Patriots who descended upon Washington and were COMPLETELY rejected by our GOVERNMENT and told in no uncertain way that they don’t care about your concerns. There were no reports in any Newspaers or MSM that addressed or reported those events.
In considering all of the above as absolutes, which they are, that spells TYRANNY under the Declaration of Independence.
My question is how much longer will you choose to be on your knees before a Tyrannical Government before you will have the MORAL COURAGE to fight for your country and freedom?
How much more pleading, letter writing and worthless court suits will you think it will take to alter the thinking of Tyrants?
Thank God there were actual men in our Nations History that had “BALLS” and who were not cowards and sissys like so many so called men today that fought for our freedoms and liberties.
Codeword today for cowards are let’s send more letters to congress, lets wait for more court rulings as one judge wiull hear our case, let’s watch Hannity, O’Reily, Beck as they will save our nation with their cowardness and apathy,let’s hold another tea party that does nothing, let’s hope the Republicans get back in power( NOW THAT IS THE DUMBEST ONE I HAVE HEARD LATELY) after all, they were in complete control of our Government and for a non profane word, messed it up to the point we find ourself in the duress we are in. You idiots who still believe Republicans are the answer, just a think about it for a moment. If they are the answer, there would have been a landslide in their favor the lastt election. But instead, they have lost both houses and the Oval office. Wake up you Morons! There is absolutely no difference between thew Republican and Democratic parties. They are both part of the larger NWO and owned and supported by LOBBYISTS! YOU and I will never stop that cycle at the ballot box.

Moreover, it is with pride and good conscience, that I concur with you - that the ballot box isnt the answer, nor are the courts, - the answers lies with in all of us who possess the moral courage to do what is right and take up arms and fight for our freedom and for our nation. One Nation Under God!
