US constitutional definition
Although the Constitution does not explicitly define the term “natural-born citizen”, Section 8 of Article I confers on Congress the power “to establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization…” This power has been construed to include defining the characteristics of a “natural born citizen”, as well as the conditions of “naturalization”.

Section 1 of Article II of the Constitution contains the clause:

“ No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. ”

Additionally, the 12th Amendment to the Constitution states that: “[N]o person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”

It is thought the origin of the natural-born citizen clause can be traced to a letter of July 25, 1787 from John Jay (who had been born in New York City) to George Washington (who had been born in Virginia), presiding officer of the Constitutional Convention. John Jay wrote: “Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.” There was no debate, and this qualification for the office of the Presidency was introduced by the drafting Committee of Eleven, and then adopted without discussion by the Constitutional Convention. (43 of the 55 delegates had been born in the Thirteen Colonies, and the others had been born on British-occupied soil: Ireland, England, Scotland, and the British West Indies.[1][unreliable source?])

The 2003 Equal Opportunity to Govern Amendment, a proposed amendment to the US Constitution, would, if adopted, have removed the prohibition against naturalized citizens holding the office of the President.

US presidential candidates born outside the US
“The constitutional wording has left doubts about whether those born on foreign soil are on an equal footing with those whose birth occurred inside the country’s borders, and whether they have the same rights.”[2] Though every president and vice president to date (as of 2008) has either been a citizen at the adoption of the Constitution, or else born in a U.S. state or Washington D.C.,[3] a number of presidential candidates have been born elsewhere.[4]

Barry Goldwater, who ran as the Republican party nominee in 1964, was born in Arizona while it was still a U.S. territory. Although Arizona was not a state, it was a fully organized and incorporated territory of the United States.[5]

George Romney, who ran for the Republican party nomination in 1968, was born in Mexico to U.S. parents. Romney’s grandfather emigrated to Mexico in 1886 with his three wives and children after Utah outlawed polygamy. Romney’s parents retained their U.S. citizenship and returned to the United States in 1912. Romney was 32 years old when he arrived in Michigan.

Lowell Weicker, the former Connecticut Senator, Representative, and Governor, entered the race for the Republican party nomination of 1980 but dropped out before voting in the primaries began. He was born in Paris, France and acquired his citizenship at birth through his parents. His father was an executive for E. R. Squibb & Sons and his mother was the Indian-born daughter of a British general.[6]

John McCain, who ran for the Republican party nomination in 2000 and is the Republican nominee in 2008, was born at the Coco Solo U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone to U.S. parents. Although the Panama Canal Zone was not considered to be part of the United States,[7] federal law states: “Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States.”[8] The law that conferred this status took effect on August 4, 1937, one year after John McCain was born — albeit with retroactive effect, resulting in McCain being declared a U.S. citizen.[9]

The mere fact of Constitutional ineligibility has not deterred some minor parties from nominating candidates for President who could not possibly serve in the office. For example, although some states have blocked ballot access for such candidates, the Socialist Workers Party nonetheless successfully placed its candidate, Nicaraguan-born Róger Calero, on the ballot in Mississippi in 2004. [10]

US legislation and legal arguments
The requirements for citizenship and the very definition thereof have changed since the Constitution was ratified in 1788. Congress first recognized the citizenship of children born to U.S. parents overseas on March 26, 1790, under the first naturalization law: “And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond sea, or outside the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens.” (See ref. for the Act of 1795)[11][12]

The Fourteenth Amendment mentions two types of citizenship: citizenship by birth and citizenship by law (naturalized citizens): “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

All persons born in the United States, except those not subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. government (such as children of foreign diplomats) are citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment. Persons born in the United States, and persons born on foreign soil to two U.S. parents, are born American citizens and are classified as citizens at birth under 8 USC 1401. There is some debate over whether persons who were born US citizens and are classified as citizens at birth under U.S. law should also be considered citizens “by birth,” whether they should all be considered to be “naturalized,” or whether they should be considered “statutory citizens.” There is also some debate over whether there is a meaningful legal distinction between citizens “at birth”, citizens “by birth” and “statutory citizens” since U.S. law makes no such distinction, nor does the Fourteenth Amendment use the term “at birth.” Current U.S. statutes define certain individuals born overseas as “citizens at birth.”[13] One side of the argument interprets the Constitution as meaning that a person either is born in the United States or is a naturalized citizen. According to this view, in order to be a “natural born citizen,” a person must be born in the United States, or possibly an incorporated territory; otherwise, they are a citizen “by law” and are therefore a “statutory citizen,” (not necessarily, however, a naturalized citizen, which implies a pre-existing foreign citizenship).[2] Current State Department policy reads: “Despite widespread popular belief, U.S. military installations abroad and U.S. diplomatic or consular facilities are not part of the United States within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. A child born on the premises of such a facility is not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States and does not acquire U.S. citizenship by reason of birth.”[14] However, the State Department is of the opinion that this does not affect those who are born abroad to U.S. citizens and who otherwise meet the qualifications for statutory citizenship.[15]

US case law

US Supreme Court cases relating to citizenship, generally
Although the U.S. Supreme Court has never specifically addressed the meaning of “natural born citizen,” there are several Supreme Court decisions that help define citizenship:

Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857): In regard to the “natural born citizen” clause, the dissent states that it is acquired by place of birth (jus soli), not through blood or lineage (jus sanguinis): “The first section of the second article of the Constitution uses the language, ‘a natural-born citizen.’ It thus assumes that citizenship may be acquired by birth. Undoubtedly, this language of the Constitution was used in reference to that principle of public law, well understood in this country at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, which referred citizenship to the place of birth.” (Much of the majority opinion in this case was overturned by the 14th Amendment in 1868.)
United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898): A person born within the jurisdiction of the U.S. to non-citizens who “are not employed in any diplomatic or official capacity” is automatically a citizen.
Weedin v. Chin Bow, 274 U.S. 657 (1927): A child born outside the U.S. cannot claim U.S. citizenship by birth through a U.S. citizen parent who had never lived in the U.S. prior to the child’s birth. (This is still true today, although the specific statutes upon which the Supreme Court’s ruling was based have changed since 1927.)
Montana v. Kennedy, 366 U.S. 308 (1961): A person born in 1906, whose mother was a native-born citizen of the United States and whose father was a foreign citizen, who was born overseas and then moved to the United States, was not a citizen of the United States by birth. (Note that the relevant laws have changed considerably since 1906, so this decision does not necessarily apply to later cases.)
Schneider v. Rusk, 377 U.S. 163 (1964): The Court voided a statute that provided that a naturalized citizen should lose his United States citizenship if, following naturalization, he resided continuously for three years in his former homeland. “We start from the premise that the rights of citizenship of the native-born and of the naturalized person are of the same dignity and are coextensive. The only difference drawn by the Constitution is that only the ‘natural born’ citizen is eligible to be President.”
Miller v. Albright, 523 U.S. 420 (1998): A child born overseas to an American father and a foreign mother (not married) is not a U.S. citizen unless paternity is established before an established age (in this case 21). This case challenged the law on the grounds that U.S. law requires no explicit acknowledgment of parenthood in the case of a foreign-born child to an American mother and a foreign father (not married).
Nguyen v. INS, 533 U.S. 53 (2001): As in the Miller v. Albright case, the Court holds that a child born overseas to an American father and a foreign mother (not married) is not a U.S. citizen unless paternity is established before an established age (in this case 18). The child was brought to the U.S. before his sixth birthday and raised by his father; however, after a criminal conviction, deportation was ordered but the child claimed U.S. citizenship. His citizenship was denied because paternity had not been established prior to his 18th birthday. The Court upheld the law, once again affirming that Congress has the power to define citizenship outside the citizenship dictated by the 14th Amendment (citizenship by birth).

[edit] Cases in other courts relating specifically to the “natural born citizen” clause
Three United States District Courts have ruled that private citizens do not have standing to challenge the eligibility of candidates to appear on a presidential election ballot. Robinson v. Bowen, 567 F. Supp. 2d 1144 (N.D. Cal. 2008); Hollander v. McCain, 2008WL2853250 (D.N.H. 2008). In dicta in each of these cases, it was also opined that if the plaintiffs did have standing, the likelihood of success on the merits (which is part of the legal test for the issuance of a preliminary injunction) would be low. The opinion in one of the cases also cited to a statutory method[16] by which the eligibility of the President-elect to take office may be challenged in Congress.

In August 2008, Philip J. Berg filed suit for documented proof that Barack Obama was qualified to obtain office of President if elected.[17] Defendants Obama, et al, filed a Motion to Dismiss for lack of Subject-Matter Jurisdiction (FRCP 12(b)(1)) and for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted (FRCP 12(b)(6)).[18] The defense in that case stated that the plaintiff’s claims were “ridiculous” and “patently false”, and that he did not have standing.[19] The case was dismissed on October 24, 2008. Judge Surrick cited Hollander among other cases in his dismissal motion. [20] Says Berg, the Plaintiff in this case, “I am totally disappointed by Judge Surrick’s decision and, for all citizens of the United States, I am immediately appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court … This is a question of who has standing to uphold our Constitution. If I don’t have standing, if you don’t have standing, if your neighbor doesn’t have standing to question the eligibility of an individual to be President of the United States - the Commander-in-Chief, the most powerful person in the world - then who does?”[21]

[Honduras
In 2000 Ricardo Maduro was chosen as the National Party of Honduras candidate for the Honduran presidential election of November 2001 in spite of having been born in Panama, and there being a prohibition against anyone not born in Honduras from standing for President in the Honduran constitution. This created huge controversy within the country though eventually his right to stand as candidate was endorsed.

My question for Obama supporters (McCain’s too) is that do you think that the people that control the resources, economy, design and manufacture weapons, etc, are going to allow anyone in that seat that will “change” their world? Will they openly back someone that will turn the tide back towards the citizenry? If you do, then I think we’re in even more trouble than I had imagined. No powerful entity would let Obama get past the first primary if they thought that he would crimp their style in any way, shape or form.

Is Obama going to abolish The Patriot Act? Notice how this never comes up?

Will he breakdown Homeland Security? Again, no mention. What about rolling back those executive orders? Mums the word.

“Change” is a very nebulous concept. Why is it that otherwise intelligent Americans become psycotic with their abstract zeal over politics to the point that they lose perspective in debating questions involing their choosen view? Reading the posted comments leaves me more concerned for the future of this America from the incomprehensible thoughts of these voters than the crimminals who otherwise run this country.

Whether you like Obama, or hate him was never the focus of the video. Though you would hardly know that by reading the comments. The question posed by the video is whether or not he was born in Kenya and what are the ramifications if he was born there.

How does one go from that point to the diatribe about he is better or worse than any other candidate? To those unable to stay focused on the video’s question perhaps you should ask yourselves some questions about why you yourself are so adamant that to question this mans honesty is somehow an afront to your sensebility.

The facts that American politics is a practice in organized crime of the highest degree is a reality to anyone who takes a critical look at the history of this country’s actual political path. It is not conjecture but, fact to state that whether Obama or Mighty Mouse gets in the oval office the path will be determined by people who do not represent or care for you or your thoughts.

Ask yourselves if any politician acts in office as they acted on the campaign stump? Try asking yourself if the accusations against your political choice are true can you still be certain that all things promised will be addressed?

Those two questions alone should have you wondering if their has ever been a political aspiration that wasn’t corrupt, capable of telling the truth, and allowed to pursue their own agenda. Frankly the answers to all of the above are set in stone through time.

I don’t think this proves anything. It doesn’t resolve anything at all either way, really. Who’s to say this Kenyan woman isn’t lying or embellishing out of some sense of pride? I’m sure it’d be a major coup for the Obamas in Kenya to say that Barack was born in Kenya in their village and is going to be the POTUS. That doesn’t make everything they say literal truth, nor does it make them highly credible witnesses. I’m also sure they don’t know the US Constitution and likely don’t realize that someone who was not born a US Citizen is ineligible for election to POTUS. To them it may very well come as a surprise.

That said, Obama’s citizenship still hasn’t been proven to my satisfaction either. Obama has not produced his original birth certificate when asked and his campaign website shows some pdf of a scanned birth certificate that MAY be the real thing, but who knows? I trust a scanned pdf by the Democratic Party about as much as I trust a Kenyan village woman’s face-value testimony.

Obama’s Contempt for our Constitution

On February 10, 2007, Senator Barack Obama stood outside the Old State Capitol building in Illinois and announced his intention to run for the presidency.

“I recognize there is a certain presumptuousness, a certain audacity, to this announcement,” Obama said. “I know I haven’t spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington. But I’ve been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change.”

Of course, that depends on what his definition of “been there long enough” is. Actually, after he took office in November 2004, he spent a total of 143 days “on the job” – the number of days the senate was in session – before beginning his campaign for President of the United States. So now we know that, to Obama, “been there long enough” means that four months and change is quite enough preparation to be not only president but also the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, chief executive of the federal government, and leader of the free world.

At least he got the “audacity” part right.

In responding to disparagement from his opponents about the three years he spent as a community organizer in Chicago, Obama explained - with startlingly unselfconscious narcissism - that it was a good preparation for the top job in the world because it helped in “understanding where I’m coming from, who I believe in, who I’m fighting for and why I’m in this race.”

“They haven’t talked about the fact that I was a civil rights lawyer;” Obama added. “They haven’t talked about the fact that I taught constitutional law…”

Okay, let’s talk about that, especially because it is on the basis of a Constitutional challenge that Obama was sued by lawyer Philip J. Berg. In short, Berg has insisted that Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen, was possibly born on foreign soil to an American mother and Kenyan father, may hold dual American-Indonesian citizenship, and therefore does meet the eligibility requirements that are spelled out in exquisite detail in the United States Constitution. He asked that Obama’s name be removed from the ballot.

Berg’s case was dismissed on October 24 by Judge Barclay Surrick, but he promptly took the case before Judge David Souter of the Supreme Court, whose disposition is anticipated before the election on Tuesday, November 4 If no judgment is rendered, Berg anticipates that if Obama is elected, a Constitutional crisis will ensue. At this point, numerous citizens throughout the country have petitioned their own courts to disqualify Obama.

“I TAUGHT CONSTITUTIONAL LAW”

Well, I ask, what part of the Constitution did Obama not “get”?

In the U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 1, it states: No person except a natural born citizen or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

Title 8 of the U.S. Code explains what “natural born citizen” means:

Anyone born inside the United States.
Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe.
Anyone born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
Anyone born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national.
Anyone born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year.
Anyone found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21.
Anyone born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time).
A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.
Anyone falling into these categories is considered natural-born, and is eligible to run for President or Vice President. These provisions allow the children of military families to be considered natural-born. For example, separate sections of the U.S. Code address territories that the United States has acquired over time, such as Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. And the law contains one other section about the Panama Canal Zone and the nation of Panama. It states that anyone born in the Canal Zone or in Panama itself, on or after February 26, 1904, to a mother and/or father who is a United States citizen, was “declared” to be a United States citizen.

Because this section doesn’t carry the words “natural-born” or “citizen at birth,” this became an issue for Sen. John McCain when he ran for president in 2000. But that issue was resolved when it was found that McCain was considered a natural-born citizen under 8 USC 1401(c): “a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents both of whom are citizens of the United States and one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, prior to the birth of such person.

If Obama meets the above criteria, then why has he still not produced a certifiably authentic birth certificate?

UNDISGUISED CONTEMPT

Selwyn Duke, in the American Thinker, writes, “Leftists…could attempt to change the Constitution so that it reflects their agenda, but this is a long, drawn-out, difficult process that requires, of all things, actual public support for your aims. And it’s easier to change the courts - and install `ideological’ justices who will impose left-wing orthodoxy from the bench - than the will of the subjects. Consider that liberals are ever trying to destroy tradition, as it stands in the way of progressivism. Consider that a consistent definition of liberalism - one that epitomizes the modern left (those progressives) - involves the desire to change the status quo. So what it means is that, by definition, a liberal who understands the Constitution cannot believe in it.”

Aha! So that is why Obama told an NPR radio interviewer in 2001 that the Warren Court did not “break free from the essential constraints” found in the Constitution and therefore one of the “tragedies” of the civil rights movement was that “the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth…”

Upon hearing a tape of the interview, Ed Morrissey of CaptainsQuarters blog fame, “The government does not exist to determine the acceptable level of wealth of its individual citizens. For government to assume that role, it would have to end private property rights and assume all property belonged to the State. That is classic Marxism. Barack Obama complains that the Constitution is a `charter of negative liberties.’ That’s because the Constitution was intended as a limiting document, to curtail the power of the federal government vis-à-vis the states and the individual. Barack Obama wants to reverse that entirely. And that’s radical change you’d better believe in, or else.”

Rush Limbaugh also weighed in: “Barack Obama calls himself a `constitutional professor’ or a `constitutional scholar.’ In truth, Barack Obama was an anti-constitutionalist professor. He studied the Constitution and he flatly rejected it. He doesn’t like the Constitution. He thinks it is flawed. Now I understand why he was so reluctant to wear the American flag lapel pin….he says that the Constitution `is a charter of negative liberties. This is nothing short of a condemnation of the Constitution, and he calls himself a professor. The greatest government, the freest society in the history of the world, and Professor Obama calls it a charter of negative liberties! To me, ladies and gentlemen, the Constitution is a gift of God. The Constitution is not a disappointment. It’s a blessing. What kind of person does not understand the purpose and meaning of a document written by the greatest defenders of liberty the world has ever known? Jefferson, Madison, Adams, Washington, Hamilton - they created a charter of negative liberties?”

In the same radio interview, Obama said: “I think we can say that, uh, uh, the Constitution reflected a enormous blind spot in this culture that carries on until this day and — and, uh, — and, uh, that the framers had that same blind spot.”

“This is how he views the Supreme Court,” Limbaugh railed. “And he will have the power to populate it with people who believe in those very things. How is he going to place his hand on the Bible and swear that he, Barack Hussein Obama, will uphold the Constitution that he feels reflects the nation’s fundamental flaw?”

It is now no wonder that Obama has refused to provide his birth certificate! He wants to circumvent the Constitution and, by so doing, “prove” that it’s a fundamentally flawed document, worthy of the efforts he and his radical far-left acolytes will lead to challenge every Amendment in the Bill of Rights, including: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to keep and bear arms, freedom of assembly, freedom to petition, and the prohibition against depriving any citizen of life, liberty, and property, et al.

THIS WAS THEIR FIRST STEP

In April of this year, a number of Obama’s congressional supporters - including Gov. Claire McCaskill (D-MOi), Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), and Sen. James Webb (D-VA) -proposed and passed a Resolution (S.Res.511) entitled: Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

Duh.

This was the Resolution:

Whereas the Constitution of the United States requires that, to be eligible for the Office of the President, a person must be a `natural born Citizen’ of the United States;
Whereas the term `natural born Citizen’, as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, is not defined in the Constitution of the United States;
Whereas there is no evidence of the intention of the Framers or any Congress to limit the constitutional rights of children born to Americans serving in the military nor to prevent those children from serving as their country’s President;
Whereas such limitations would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the `natural born Citizen’ clause of the Constitution of the United States, as evidenced by the First Congress’s own statute defining the term `natural born Citizen’;
Whereas the well-being of all citizens of the United States is preserved and enhanced by the men and women who are assigned to serve our country outside of our national borders;
Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President; and
Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it

Just how dumb do McCaskill and Obama & Co. think the American people are? Here they attempt to create a blanket Resolution that says ALL foreign-born candidates are eligible for the U.S. presidency, when in fact McCain did not need this Resolution and neither did Bill Richardson when he ran for president this year. In fact, to my knowledge no presidential nominee in American history has ever needed a Resolution of this kind until Obama - who has still not produced a valid birth certificate! - entered the race.

So why this weird Resolution? Clearly so Obama could circumvent the Constitution he finds so distasteful.

According to Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer: “The president, The Supreme Court justices, and all members of Congress, have taken an oath to defend and protect the Constitution and have an affirmative duty to protect the Constitution by doing whatever is necessary to insure that presidential (and congressional) candidates meet the Constitutional requirements for the offices they seek. It is a mandatory duty, and failure to do so violate their oaths of office. If they don’t follow this oath in Obama’s case, it will be the biggest swindle in American history, allowing Obama and the DNC to have concealed his true identity and lack of citizenship, thereby conning Democrats out of hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign contributions. If justice is served, dozens of `leading’ Democrats should go to prison for fraud.”

I often wonder how people come to the conclusion that something that is reported is truth. Do they just take the word of the ones reporting something as fact and truth?

How does one aquire wisdom? What makes one a “wise” person? Does a wise person just blindly accept what is being said as real? Or, does one that is wise search for truth and justice and once satisfied that the facts have been obtained, this subject then and only then can be called “Fact”!

We the people, as United States citizens either individually or collectively, do have a right to demand the truth regarding Senator Obama’s suspiciously undocumented claim of U.S. citizenship with respect to his eligibility as required by nothing less than the full weight, measure and force of the United States Constitution. Proof that any of us are required to provide to hold any Federal or State government job, as well as many private sector ones.

Why should Senator Obama be excused? Why would Senator Obama and the DNC so vehemently resist having to provide the same legal proof that each of us as a U.S. citizen, has to provide unless he simply can not, because Mr. Berg is correct that in fact Senator Obama is not legally a citizen of the United States of America?

It is interesting to note that at the same time this is happening, Obama’s family, which for all intents and purposes he has long ago abandoned, in both Kenya and Boston, have now all declined to give any further interviews. In fact in Kenya the house is now guarded by the police to stop anyone from asking if questions such as whether Obama was born in Kenya, as the record suggests.

So here we are. Despite all the sacrifices, including the ultimate sacrifice, veterans have been willing to make to safeguard our Nation and our U.S. Constitution, we are once again faced with the very real danger of a totalitarian socialist threat. As a Presidential candidate, based on his stated intention to redistribute wealth, Obama now embodies the revolutionary Marxist dictate “From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.”

America always has and still is ready, willing and able to fight against such totalitarian threats. Americans have fought and died on many battlefields throughout the World, to defend freedom from this dreaded and seemingly undying collectivist curse on humanity. Totalitarianism, in it’s various forms has repeatedly been tried and defeated, be it imperialism, nazi fascism, communist socialism or radical extremist Islamic terrorism.

America’s military has always been able to protect American liberties, which sadly many Americans take for granted. However, far more disheartening and unbelievable is what is happening today, or may happen on November fourth. Many veterans never envisioned a day when the American voter might invite a socialist threat into the White House as President. He would also be Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces which have fought and defeated this evil totalitarian form of government through out our history. This threat has repeatedly been resurrected by the most repressive, vile and violent of politicians, only to be beaten back into the bowels of hell time and time again. Never having been able to militarily conquer America or our allies, today a creeping but alarmingly successful and insidiously advancing totalitarian tactic is being tried.

A Trojan horse filled with imperceptibly slowly acting but none the less, very lethal political poison has arrived at our gate. It’s approach has unwittingly been heralded by the untested detached self aggrandizing utopian elitists who have effectively supplanted, and now scorn, the common sense patriotism once found thriving in our most coveted educational and governmental institutions. Positions of importance and influence upon society, which were once often filled with tempered, truly heroic patriots recently returned home from the hell of war, to enjoy a peaceful yet wisely ever vigilant existence.

That grand old guard, the heroes who not only fought our battles against unimaginable horrors across every continent on the globe from familiar places such from Normandy and Iwo Jima, to thousands of lesser known hellholes, ever mindful of the personal risk the task entailed. These men, steeled with courage from knowing that it was far better to confront and stop totalitarianism abroad, rather than at home. In victory, having beaten back the evil beast once again, they then humbly returned home, still on guard as they successfully guided America along it’s path of prosperity fostered by freedom.

As time passes, fewer and fewer of those brave souls are still with us. Unfortunately we need them very much again today. Of those that are with us, sadly many must be looking on in sheer heart wrenching disbelief, as are many veterans who know the dangers that lurk far beyond our shores, and now also clearly within our own borders. Sacred borders, which they protected for us against every threat, except those now permitted to pass by political malfeasance, while we slept comfortably in our beds. Because of them, for many years now, day after blissful day has passed where we were able to live a life more carefree and plentiful, than any society has ever enjoyed perhaps in the entire history of mankind. Slowly the old guard has been replaced by a new cadre, who while just as willing and capable as their predecessors, has sadly been ordered off the wall for far too long.

The evil that America’s best and bravest often fought against and so valiantly defeated, has once again clearly crossed our borders to deftly prepare America for defeat from within. This has occurred by means of overindulgent capitulation to the misguided politically correct tolerance of mindless miscreants promoting corrosive societal changes that many felt were wrong, but failed to speak out against in sufficient number. Instead, unable to recognize the danger, like doomed frogs in slowly heated water, curiously docile Americans have politely followed along as the elitist secretively socialist pied pipers played on. During this time they also strategically supplanted a few carefully targeted treasured tenets of our society, particularly those for schools and government, with more progressive egalitarian ones. This was clearly discernible to anyone who knew enough to even suspect that they were in fact, straight out of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto.

As all this quietly happened, concomitantly the elitists convinced the generally contented good people, that it’s impolite to mention the king has no clothes. So before our very eyes, Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Our President, dismissive of all criminal accusations and being further preoccupied by Oval Office dalliances, was rather inattentive to his duties. The resulting civil distraction, along with the impotent lack of any meaningful military response to the predictable enemy probes, while remaining amusingly aloof to the consequences of his failings, undoubtedly inevitably invited a devastating deadly attack on our shores. The 911 attack was indeed also an emergency call, a wake up call that something was terribly wrong.

Now several years later as Tuesday, November 4, 2008 quickly approaches, we will learn if America is awake yet or not. The pied piper is still playing just as loudly as before here in the United States, although assuredly less so in Iraq and Afghanistan. However the enemy is within the wall and is clearly about to open the gates to unleash the tyrannical socialist political poison hidden within the Trojan Horse we call Obama. A man of many disturbing secrets even at this very late hour. A man who boasts about wanting to correcting the fatal flaws of our Constitution due to the short sighted limitations of the Founding Fathers. A man who intends to bestow the benefits of redistributive collectivism on America with punitive business taxation similar to what caused the great depression. A man who promises a sweeping nationalization of our health care system, and undoubtedly hides many more equally reviled edicts of Socialism. This is a critically dangerous time. If Americans surrender their sacred freedoms to Obama and his Democratic Congressional cronies, who will then place despotic activist judges throughout the courts, including the Supreme court, it is surely the beginning of the end for America.

Their first strike against our Constitutional liberty, they admit will be aimed directly at the heart of the First Amendment with the dangerous misnomer they call “The Fairness Doctrine” in an attempt to silence conservative talk radio. A medium where political opinions abound and your voice may freely be heard live and uncensored by thousands, if not millions of other citizens. Many people will be outraged but what will it matter? Our egalitarian elitist elected leaders must strive for fairness as they liberally interpret the Constitution as a “living” or in other words, an obsolete document badly in need of repair and revision to suit their socialist totalitarian views.

While this abomination is played out, possibly as a civil distraction, Congress will surely be working in the dark late hours of night to implement their second strike, undoubtedly aimed at the Second Amendment. Obama has voted against our right to “keep and bare arms” at every single opportunity. Biden has authored very influential gun control legislation, particularly for President Clinton. Think it couldn’t happen here? So did the freedom loving, but now effectively disarmed, British and Australians among many others. With the successful yet subtle revival of a cooperative globalist perspective being adopted by politicians world wide, such as the proposed North American Union, why shouldn’t you expect to be next? What will prevent Obama, armed with both a sycophant Congress and Judicial system packed with their like minded appointees, from enforcing socialism upon America? In short order you will be both silenced and disarmed.

Hopefully the Supreme Court will do it’s duty by intervening to properly support and defend the Constitution of the United States, by requiring proof of eligibility from Obama to serve as President, thereby safeguarding American liberty and avoiding a potential Constitutional crises, Undoubtedly if Mr. Obama is allowed to proceed without proof of his eligibility and is elected and allowed to take office, we will soon find out what other secrets he has kept from us. Dangerous truths recently revealed about his associations, clearly give one pause and merit further concern that Mr. Obama has other potentially disturbing truths hidden away. Through out the campaign they have remained undisclosed, easily remaining hidden among an untold disconcerting number of unasked and unanswered questions, the complicit main stream media propagandists have purposefully refused to raise. God help the Justices to clearly see their duty to accept this case. May God help America, if the court should fail us in this the hour of our darkest most dire time, when we desperately need the light of great wisdom to show us the way ahead. The recent Lawsuit in Washington State demanding their Secretary of State to vet the citizenship credentials of Barack Obama has spawned a slew of similar suits with new lawsuits filed and/or prepared in WA, FL, NC, CO, CA, OH, FL, CT, GA, TX, MI. Related lawsuits HI, US District.

Hey “Obama Man”, the issue of U.S. Citizenship through overseas Birth is moot, since if Senator Obama was in fact born in Kenya, he would have automatically been registered as a Kenyan Citizen, before applying for American Citizenship. It might seem to be a technicality, but it is an issue which should be addressed.

Do you know how easy it is to produce Birth Certificates from even the Early 19th Century in this Nation? If you place a phone call to the appropriate archive, you can retrieve almost any American Birth Certificate within 30 minutes or less.

Why, instead of filing motions for dismissal and injunction, did Senator Obama not simply bring forth his Birth Certificate to even one of these hearings? He/his Campaign would have been in and out of the Courtroom in 10 minutes, with all cases against him thus being promptly dismissed. It is THAT simple. When you have exonerating evidence clearing you of all charges, you PRODUCE it, it is basic common sense, is it not?

As for the Constitutional clause allowing American Citizens born overseas to be considered Natural Born Citizens, that was written with the express purpose of covering Diplomats, Military Personnel, and Government Officials Serving in International Locales. If you are born to a Non-Serving American overseas, you must still apply for Citizenship under “Natural Born” status, and any serious issues aside, you will be Approved. The questions are where exactly was Senator Obama Born, and if Born overseas, was he applied for at Birth to be a “Natural Born” Citizen of the United States of America?

NOTATION: Mr. Shuhudia called me first on October 16th at 10:33a.m. and
advised that he was with Sarah Hussein Obama and that she wanted to speak with me, but
the connection was lost. He called me right back at 10:35a.m. and he informed me that
there were several hundred people present, celebrating Obama’s success. I questioned
him about the format of the phone call and conversation with Ms. Obama, and then
informed him that I would call him right back, so it would not cost him international
charges for the call. I called back at 10:40a.m. and public music and voices could be
heard that were gathered around Kweli Shuhudia. I then spoke with him and requested
that they utilize the speaker phone so everyone could hear. The speaker phone with its
open microphone was utilized with Mr. Kweli Shuhudia, Mr. Vitalis Akech Ogombe
assisting in the translation work and Ms. Sarah Hussein, along with several hundred
people including policeman present and listening to the open conversation between the
four of us for approximately 15 minutes. A third unknown party can be heard periodically
interjecting both Swahili and English words in the public discussion and conversation
between the four of us. At times the room noise from other peoples’ voices makes some
of the swahili difficult to hear, and towards the end of the converstaion several men’s
voices are heard that are not identified.

All the Barack Obama had to do was present a birth certificate to the American people. He has NOT done so. That certificate of live birth on his website has been deemed to not be orginal. That is not to say he does not have a birth certificate from Hawaii. But the fact is this - Barack Obama has NOT provided a valid birth certificate for the American people.

I hope that voters who go to Obama’s website and see the fake certificate of live birth, will then NOT vote for Obama since he will not display a real birth certificate.

So much has been debated about whether or not Barack H. Obama II is or is not a Natural Born US citizen. The problem is that so many people are totally uninformed as to the law as it existed in 1961 as it relates to the transmission of citizenship to a child born outside the US or its Outlying Possessions (OLP).

In an effort to clear the air, to get the FACTS out so people can clearly see the issue without opining or guessing as to the legalilties, allow me to pontificate a bit. For the record, I am a recently retired Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, with more than 25 years experience. Part of that experience is understanding and comprehending immigraiton and nationality law which is at the center of this issue. In short, I know a “little bit” about what I speak of.

In 1961, as opposed to TODAY, Section 301(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as ammended (INA) required the following: A child being born to one alien parent (ie. Non Citizen) and one citizen parent in a marital relationship, required that the sole US citizen parent to have resided in the United States for a period of ten years, five of which must have been over the age of 14. Today’s version of the law has somewhat different residency requirements for the US citizen parent. But the law, as it applied on August 4, 1961, required ten years presence, five after the age of 14.

Barack Hussein Obama I (dad), was a citzen and national of Kenya. He was not, nor had never been, a United States citizen. Ergo, he is the “alien” parent in this scenario. Stanley Ann Dunham (mom) was a US citizen by virtue of having been born in the US. At the time of Barack Hussein Obama II’s birth on August 4, 1961, Ms. Dunham was 18 years old, having been born in November of 1942. As such, if Barack Hussein Obama II was born outside the US or its Outlying Possessions, on August 4, 1961, then Ms. Dunham could not transmit her citizenship to her son because she failed to have accumulated the necessary physical presence requirements that the LAW (that pesky and inconvenient thing that oftentime gets in the way of “change”) demanded.

The earliese in which Ms. Dunham could have transmitted her citizenship to a child born outside the US would have been when she was 19 years of age, which was in November of 1961 and NOT in August of 1961, when Obama was born.

It’s that simple. If he was born in Kenya, or anywhere else for that matter, other than the US or its OLP’s, then he is not, nor can never be, eligible to hold the office of President of the United States of America inasmuch as he does not, nor never can, fullfill the requirements of Article II, Clause V of the Constitution of the United States. It’s not an optional thing, regardless of whether or not someone thinks it’s fair or not. It’s the law, that pesky, recurring inconvenience that seems to get in the way, time and time again.

Now, the quesiton remains to be answered if he was born in Kenya or not. The State of Hawaii has weighed in and states that there is a record of Mr. Obama’s birth on file in the Department of Vital Statistics. However, THAT is not enough. There are two entirely different and distinct birth documents issued by the State of Hawaii.

The first is a Certificate of Live Birth which is the traditional birth certificate we all are familiar with for children born IN Hawaii.

Then there is a different document entitled Certification of Live Birth, which is issued to children born OUTSIDE of Hawaii but whose birth is registered in Hawaii pursuant to a quaint and scarcely known Hawaiian law, Hawaii Revised Statute 338-17.8. This law allows for the registration of a birth in Hawaii for a child who was born OUTSIDE Hawaii to parents who, for the year immediately preceding the child’s birth, claimed Hawaii as their principle place of residence.

Dunham and Obama Sr. both resided in Hawaii for the year immediately preceding Senator Obama’s birth. Ergo sum, his birth, even if it occurred in Kenya, could legally be registered in Hawaii, and a Certification of Live Birth could have been issued, giving the uninitiated the impression that he was born in Hawaii when in fact, he was not.

It is misleading when the State of Hawaii states that they have examined Obama’s birth record and it is valid. It could very well be the case. The ISSUE however, is whether or not he was born in Hawaii as he claims, or if he was born in Kenya. There is of course, a plausible scenario in which he could’ve been born in Kenya and yet have his birth recorded in Hawaii as having been born in Hawaii when in fact he was not. It’s quite simple acutally. His mother could have lied. That’s right. Ann Dunham could have given birth in Kenya, brought Obama back with her to the US and then fraudulently registered the birth in Hawaii. Is it likely? Who knows? Is it possible? As Sir Aruthur Coynan Doyle has written: Once you have eliminated what is impossibe, whatever remains, however unlikely, is possible.

In this case, anything is possible. And it’s so unfortunate that all but one relative on Ms. Dunham’s side of the family are deceased. His maternal grandmother, who he conveniently just visited in Hawaii, is the one living relative that could possibly shed light on this subject. A simple question aksing her if her daughter went to Kenya prior to Barack’s birth would end the speculation, assuming of course, her response is truthful. And therein lies the rub. With so much fraud being perpetrated by the DailyKOS, Stop the Smears, and others, it’s difficult to believe anything at this point.

And isn’t it oh so convenient that Obama goes to Hawaii on October 23, 2008 and the Hawaiin Department of Health, after his visit to Hawaii, issues the statement that the document they have is legitimate. The wording of their statement leaves alot to be desired. It’s a non answer to a question. Yes, the document is valid. And? Was he born in Hawaii?????? Silence.

The now infamous document posted on Stop the Smears and the DailyKOS, which has been determined to be a forgery by no fewer than three court certified Forensic Document Examiners, was a Certification of Live Birth and NOT a Certificate of Live Birth or Birth Certificate. However, in an effort to obfuscate the issue, the term “Birth Certificate” has been used interchangably with “Certification of Live Birth”.

Assuming that Mr. Obama has a legitimate Certification of Live Birth, the question must be asked: “Why post a forgery?” The answer is as follows:

A. There does not exist a legitimate, authentic birth document for Obama showing birth anywhere in the US.

OR

B. He does have a legitimate Certification of Live Birth issued by the State of Hawaii. However, that document shows his place of birth as being in Mombassa, Kenya and NOT in Hawaii as the forged copy claims.

What is troubling and frustrating is that Obama can, and has had the ability to do so for quite some time, resolve this matter by simply providing a certified copy of his authentic birth document. The only reason that is reasonable for his failure to do so is that he simply doesn’t have a document that shows he was born in the US. His documents all show birth in Kenya.

As to his Indonesian passport, that, in and of itself, is problematic for Obama. In order to have obtained Indonesian citizenship, which is the only way one legitimately gets an Indonesian passport, he must have renounced his US citizenship, assuming for a moment, that he was, in fact a US citizen at any time. The fact that he renounced his US citizenship in order to obtain citizenship in Indonesian also makes him ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States under Article II, Clause V of the Constitution of the United States.

Look. The facts and the law, are just that, the facts and the law. Wishing it wasn’t so, being upset that the law is the way it was in 1961, wishing that people wouldn’t bring that pesky inconvenient issue of the law, won’t change a thing. Mr. Obama, like it or not, whether you think it’s fair or not, if born outside the US, is NOT, nor never can be, eligible to hold the office of President of the United States. Period. End of discussion.

IF, in fact, he was born in Kenya, as it appears he very well was, then his continued candidacy and the acceptance of campaign funds and donations, is a fraud. Furthermore, this issue is likely to throw this country into a Constitutional crisis, the likes of which we have never seen, making the elections of 2000 and 2004 look tame by comparison. And don’t you think Obama knows whether or not he was born in the US or not?

He wrote a book entitled “The Audacity of Hope”. Perhaps it should have been entitled “The Audacity of Ambition”.

All that legalise means nothing, just because someone is ELLIGIBLE to become an US citizen does not mean that they DID become a citizen, and that they continually STAYED a citizen. This requires more than a cut-and-paste from Wikipedia, it requires chain of custody documents, which is the legal recourse when there is a dispute. You start with the Live Birth documents, then follow any visas that were issued, and look for any documentation that his citizenship has changed, then look for a move to any other country, and on and on. He should have a paper trail, just like anyone else, and it CAN be followed. But the mere fact that someone was born to a mother who was a citizen does not conclusively prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that 40+ years later that person is still a legal citizen. You can renounce your citizenship, your parents can choose your citizenship, you can join an army in a former country which eliminates your citizenship rights in some cases, there are LOTS of things that can change someone’s status.

But Obama apologetics don’t care. They wouldn’t care if you could prove anything, they just don’t care. That’s because they made a EMOTIONAL investment in Obama, and even if the logical part doesn’t equate, they have too much ego tied into their original emotional investment to turn back. That’s how cults work, by the time you figure out you are in the wrong place, you are too deep to turn back. That’s one of the big drawbacks to getting all caught up in emotion rather than using facts and logic to reach a decision.

These people who have had a drink of the Obama zombie juice will never turn back, they are gone, even if he wins and proves to be the absolute biggest disaster there ever was for a president, and no matter how bad things get, these people will just dig in deeper and deeper, rather than to admit they were wrong to begin with.

What most seem to be missing here is the fact that Obama is NOT a US citizen; natural-born nor naturalized.

Uder the law in effect at the time of his birth; in 1961, a child would have to be born to atleast one US Citizen; either natural-born or naturalized.

To be Natural-Born one would have to be born inside the United States. To be Naturalized one would have to reside inside the US for 10 consecutive years; 5 of which after they obtained the age of 16.

Now we all know his father was from Kenya but his mother is from HI;

HI did not become a State until 1959 and as such his mother was not eligable to become a Naturalized Citizen until she obtained the age of 26.

The GOP now stands for backwards thinking, bigotry, isolationism, religious fanaticism. The areas that you were strong in were rural, poorly education, white (lily white), Bible belt states in areas that are populated by what I like to call dinosaurs – thinking that is hopefully on the verge of extinction. In the 21st century you need to evolve into something more or you will never succeed or retake power. Maybe get back to the days of Reganism where the party stood for small government, and fewer regulations but still maintained a progressive, global outlook and were interested in an inclusive society not one that excludes more people that it includes. In the meantime, stop whining! You lost. Get over it!

A village refers primarily to a group of people that reside together than a geographical location in this area of the world especially. Saying someone is a son of the village is saying that he is a member of their community by birth, given that his ancestors were members.

This is what happens when you translate a statement only syntacticly, and make up your own semantics.

Also the official caretaker of Hawaii’s birth records has examined the original document in person, and confirmed it to be authentic. A certified copy has also been produced, and examined by several independent, and even Republican document examiners

If The Supreme Court Decides…?

At this point, Supreme Court Justice David Souter’s Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond.

If Obama fails to do that, it is sure to inspire the skepticism of the Justices, who are unaccustomed to being defied. They will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship.

Wow! Quite pleased to see both the level of concern and depth of understanding of most of these posts. Bless Berg and the others for taking a bite and not letting go. I agree with Suler that the translation of his grandmother’s statement is of no proof, they would term him a “son of the villiage” by his father’s heritage. But where is the birth cirtificate? Someone at the State of Hawaii declaring it valid is of no legal import. I agree with people like Saul in that Bush (and those that move the sticks and strings) has done more to wipe his ass with the constitution than anyone in history. But what does that have to do with the issue at hand? Did your mother ever teach you that 2 wrongs don’t make a right? As long as people are willing to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, we can never have anything but Evil… The founding fathers were quite clear that democracy is not perfect and that the individual needs to be protected from the whims of the masses; This is one of the purposes of the constitution. Will We Soon Be Facing the Death of America

Under the United States Constitution a candidate must meet three basic requirements to be eligible to be POTUS. Barack Hussein Obama failed to prove his eligibility on one of the three requirements. The failure of BO places America in the gravest danger since 1776. The idea Obama has been elected to POTUS without first establishing his eligibility to be so is an affront to the American people.

Obama glibly participates in the procedural process to assume the role of the POTUS with all the confidence of a man who has no doubt he will take the oath of office with out challenge. President Bush and all involved with the process casually mirror Obama’s attitude. Every one involved with this farce acts as if there are ‘no millions of people’ intensely questioning Obama’s citizenship. They totally ignore the probability of Barry’s most ruthless violation of America’s sacred document is being perpetrated as they so casually welcome the Obama’s to the White House.

A large cloud of contradictions, rumors and theories have been swarming about Obama’s place of birth, his actual citizenship be it dual or American. The theories are running wild as to who truly sired Obama. Through it all the only response the public ever got from Obama is a proven forged document claiming he was born in Hawaii and the GREAT SILENCE. THE GREAT SILENCE didn’t end with Obama. MSM and hundreds of others conspired in keeping this vital information out of MSM.

What about the two law suits sitting in USSC right now challenging Obama’s eligibility to be POTUS? What about the one law suit in Hawaii by Andy Martin? To this date Obama has not produced one acceptable document to prove where he was born. He has also failed to produce any other vital document about himself. Obama has never been held accountable for his refusal to produce required documents. Does he know something we don’t? Is he certain nothing will come of the many law suits against him? Since when does popularity excuse accountability?

Is it possible the greatest conspiracy ever enacted against America has happened before America’s blind eyes. Is it possible BO is the supreme imposter? The conspirators are Obama, the Democratic Party, MSM, 64,000,000 million voters and potentially the USSC. Had this controversial cloud been loudly proclaimed to the voter’s months ago—as it should have been—would Obama really have gotten 64,000,000 votes?

In between fact and fiction about Obama’s actual place of birth, his father, and his dual citizenship, is compelling evidence that he was not born in Hawaii and he is not an American citizen, and therefore is not eligible to be POTUS. This man has risked his life obtaining documents that allegedly prove beyond a shadow of a doubt Obama was born in Kenya. This issue and only this issue is why it is the duty of the Supreme Court and possibly the USDOJ to have the courage to establish beyond a shadow of a doubt the reality and facts regarding Barack Hussein Mohamed Obama Barry Sotoero. This means under no circumstances must the judges be allowed to distort, convolute, manipulate, contort or in any other manner ignore facts that prove Obama is not eligible to be POTUS either because of place of birth, dual citizenship, or other vital facts. Under no circumstances must they find a way to legitimize, or validate Obama’s right to be President if he fails to prove his citizenship.

The argument that 64,000,000 Americans voted for him is moot because if it is so proven Obama is not eligible, then he ran fraudulently and all who voted for him voted fraudulently. I am sorry for those voters who were so cruelly deceived by Obama.

This is the single most important issue America and the world is facing. This issue is greater than the economic crisis, world wars, or energy crisis. Now America is facing its last showdown between the American public and the USSC. If Obama is not eligible and the day the Supreme Court fails to acknowledge that fact, is the day the world discovers the Supreme Court became a coconspirator in the same guilty conspiracy. (This is perhaps, what Obama knows. America is not yet ready to believe or accept government betrayal.) This day will end all hope for justice in the world. By so failing to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, America’s death will have been declared. Hence forward the American people will be at the mercy of lawless politicians. This is the final betrayal of America by the people we trusted. America, no matter how unpopular at times and in some countries, will no longer be the hope and inspiration of the world.
