“The Tea Party needs to make a choice between an “R” or a “D”, or so says Sarah Palin. The GOP rock star told an audience full of Tea Party members in Arkansas on Tuesday night, Feb. 16, that the Independents, who make up the Tea Party movement, need to start thinking about picking a party.

I think she is right.  The Tea Party needs to make a choice, but not from within the two-party system that Palin claims we are stuck with. The Tea Party needs to decide right now whether they are going to let this movement be stolen by failed establishment candidates, or whether or not it is going to press forward and elect independent and third party candidates.

There is a classic story about how no one had been able to capture a herd of wild hogs that was rooting up crops from numerous farms. It got so bad that rewards had been posted for anyone clever enough to corral the critters. But even this resulted in only limited success.

One day a stranger (who was a wily old trapper) came into town and–entering the general store–ordered a truckload of fence posts and fencing, along with some feed. When asked what he was going to use it for, he said, “I’m going to get those wild hogs y’all are having trouble with.” Of course, everyone in the store laughed at the overconfident stranger. A few weeks later, however, the stranger rode into town with the back of his truck tightly packed with the smelly swine.

As you folks know, I have spent the last two years researching the life and times of the ObamaMessiah, and today I just learned something new.  Barack Obama’s birth certificate was destroyed in a fire.

In an article, entitled, “Obama ‘Birther’ Row Rears Its Head Again,” Greg Milam, identified as a “U. S correspondent” for Sky News, the British version of Fox News, has just introduced a whole new reason for Obama not presenting his birth certificate to confirm his eligibility — it was burned in a fire! — poor Barack — everything seems to happen to him.

Debra Medina of the Tea Party movement is making a Sarah Palin-like impact with policies stressing property rights and gun ownership

Lytle is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of town, one of hundreds that dot the vast flat ranchlands of southern Texas. A smear of houses by the main highway between San Antonio and Laredo. Population: 2,383. The first streets only got paved here in the years after the second world war. A sewage system took a little longer, not being built until the 1960s. In short, Lytle, Texas, has never been big enough to have much impact on the politics of the Lone Star state. And few Texas politicians have ever paid much attention to it.

The Tea Parties are embarrassed to talk about it. Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly do their level best to discount it. John McCain hopes to the cross the isle one more time with voters by denying it. Ninety percent of the Congress all quote FactCheck.org to get around it. The State of Hawaii builds websites to mask it. Barack Obama continues to spent a fortune to make the legal system bury it.

So what is so controversial about the BIRTHER movement that makes everyone get so defensive? Controversy never stopped our society before. The liberals have openly spent years hating Bush, Iraq and the military. The socialists in this country have spent decades pushing racism and bashing capitalism. Nothing is sacred ground in America. Abortion, amnesty, God, terrorism, corporate greed, gun control, gay rights, pornography and drugs are all big-time events today. Yet God forbid, someone mentions the birther issue and the gears completely grind to a halt.

In a videotaped interview this year on New Yorks all news cable channel NY1, a prominent African-American businessman and political figure made the curious disclosures about Obama. Percy Sutton, the former borough president of Manhattan, off-handedly revealed the unusual circumstances about his first encounter with the young Obama. I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him, Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter. The friends name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas, Sutton said. He is the principal adviser to one of the worlds richest men. He told me about Obama. Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obamas application to Harvard Law School? He wrote to me about him, Sutton recalled. And his introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him? Sutton said he acted on his friend al-Mansours advice.

Police in Louisiana’s Bossier Parish are training for an “end of the world” scenario, according to the Shreveport Times. The program is dubbed “Operation Exodus,” inspired in part from the Book of Exodus in the Bible.

Coming to America? Egyptian cop beats a protester during a demonstration over low wages.

Parish Sheriff Larry Deen told the newspaper the “buck stops” with him. “The liability stops with Larry Deen. I am the chief law enforcement officer in this parish, and it is incumbent upon me [to] protect all of the people in it,” the officer said, referring to himself in the third person.

One of the more bizarre rows in American politics has resurfaced as the country prepares for crucial mid-term elections this year.

The so-called ‘birthers’ movement, which questions whether Barack Obama was born in the US and is therefore a legitimate president, has cropped up on the campaign.

A representative in Arizona’s state senate has even introduced a ‘birth certificate bill’ because she says constituents are so worried.

I was asked to research this by a patriot friend, someone who has served their country for many years. I could not refuse.

I like Glenn Beck. I wish that he would practice what he preaches. I diligently have tried to practice what I preach and have avoided criticizing those taking a different approach to the Obama eligibility question.
