Well let’s flood the discussion with some facts

The Obama File is reporting

Obama’s elusive long-form birth certificate that would establish his eligibility to serve as president as a “natural born citizen” is the hottest discussion topic at the Fox News Channel’s website.

Under the heading, “Should Obama release his birth certificate?  Or is this old news?,”  there were 1,332 comments at 4:17 PM, eastern — all of them since Bret Baier reported on White House press secretary Robert Gibbels being questioned about the document a couple of days ago by WorldNewsDaily White House correspondent Les Kinsolving.

The rush of posts at the Fox News site makes it the “most talked about” issue, according to a ranking on the right side of the page.

One contributor to the page had this to say: “Not old news, just a burning question that needs an answer, and while your at it, get some of that other hidden, sealed information uncovered like, his passport to Indonesia, his college records, etc.  There are so many unanswered questions, and frankly you all dropped the ball before the election.”

Demands YouTube remove video of fed-up citizens berating reporter

Cable television news network CNN has attempted to block a video on YouTube.com that shows “tea party” protesters in Chicago confronting the network’s reporter Susan Roesgen over her allegedly biased and “not fair” coverage of the event.

Members of Founding Bloggers.com were on hand to videotape the crowd’s response to Roesgen’s report, in which she badgered protesters on air, summarizing her report by describing the tea party as “anti-government, anti-CNN, since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox.”

Roesgen’s report included arguments with the tea partiers, tossing out contrary positions and demanding her subjects justify their positions, as well as an antagonistic interview with a protester whose sign read, “Obama is a fascist.”

Yes, we all know that traditional mainstream media is currently on its death bed. A quick browsing of Circulation Down confirms what we’ve been trying to tell MSM outlets for years. “We want REAL news and we want it presented in an honest way… or else!”

But through the Tea Party Movement, traditional mainstream media has proven, yet again, its full incompetence when it comes to straightforward and honest journalism. Here in Chicago most media outlets completely ignored the February 27th Tea Party protests. This was the case in most cities.

To date, only Fox News and a few conservative talk radio hosts have given the Tea Party Movement any significant attention. And even then, in many cases, the grassroots element is either laughed at or completely left out.

Internet reports mock ‘Birthers’ who want constitutional proof

Internet giant America Online headlined its daily news coverage today with a story and polls covering the “Birthers,” a group of people it describes as “fringe conservatives convinced that Barack Obama is ineligible to be president because of supposed questions surrounding his birth status.”

The AOL coverage quotes an extensive Politico article and cites WorldNetDaily as the source for news on the United Justice Foundation’s most recent attempt to demand Obama give legal evidence of his constitutional eligibility to serve as president.

Politico’s coverage of the questions that still linger over Obama’s birth, however, is far from kind.

“Viewed as irrelevant by the White House, and as embarrassing by much of the Republican Party,” writes Politico blogger Ben Smith, “the subculture still thrives from the conservative website WorldNetDaily, which claims that some 300,000 people have signed a petition demanding more information on Obama’s birth.”

Fox, CNN, MSNBC refuse ads questioning Barack’s eligibility

Barack Obama’s campaign officials and transition office repeatedly have rejected reporters’ requests for comment on questions raised over his lack of documentation regarding his birth and the resulting concerns over his eligibility to be president. Now a number of media organizations apparently don’t want questions raised either.
